On September 3, 2004, the newly re-dedicated Herring Hall opened to house the office of the UA Campus Arboretum. Built in 1903, Herring is the second oldest building on campus. It harkens back to the early days of the Land Grant Institution, when botany, agriculture and Sonoran Desert stewardship and sustainability were almost exclusive priorities for the University. We invite you to stop in to visit us in this beautiful and historic building, learn more about the plants on campus, and pick up informational literature. Herring Hall is situated south of the Forbes (Agricultural) Building, which is directly south of Old Main. The Campus Arboretum office is just inside the front door.

We provide a monthly electronic newsletter. It's another great way to learn about desert landscaping. Keep in touch with us. Subscribe here!
